Focomat IIC

5 CREE XM-L RGBW LEDs

Mounted in a IKEA wood box, with extra diffusion i.e. 3mm white plexiglass.

Focomat condensers and top of the lamp-house is removed. Inserted the 6×9 light mixing mirror-box from the Durst 138 into the Focomat condenser space. Thus there are two diffusors between the LEDs and the negative stage.

Durst 138S as 5×7 enlarger

Once more mounted in a IKEA wood box, with extra diffusion i.e. 3mm white plexiglass.

Resting on the top of the Durst 138 where the filtered light output from the CLS 301 colorhead previously was mounted, thus there are two diffusors between the LEDs and the negative stage.

Durst 138s experiment as 8×10 enlarger

Yes, it works! But need time to cut a proper aluminum plate on to of the enlarger and make new & better negative stage (wood box), white box is the LED head and diffusor.

In this configuration the Durst 138 negative carrier is removed and sealed off to avoid light leakage, same for the light mixing box.  Worked surprisingly “good” with a 240 mm enlarger lens.  (but who am I to judge?)
